Selma,
I think i blew my motor tonight. i have a 93 talon tsi awd and i dont know whats up with it so i really cant tell you anything about it. all i know is that it was tickin real bad then it popped really loud. and now it wont do anything. when i turn the key it doesnt do anything. it wont turn over or anything. i have no friggin clue whats up with it unless i spun a bearing. im new to dsm's so im kinda lost. im used to workin on v8's and crap like that. but i really like my talon and i really want to drive the damn thing. i have another motor but its in a wrecked 91 gsx. i got both of the cars at the same time. i guess all im askin is how hard it is to take the motor out of the talon, then take the motor out of the gsx, then put the motor out of the gsx into the talon? all i need is the motor i dont need to take the tranny out of the talon or would it be easier to take it all out at one time then take the talon tranny and put it on the other motor? i just want to get my car fixed and if anyone can help, man it would be great!!! if there anyone in NC thats would probably be ever better. but thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

thanks a bunch
JJ

Its quite a simple process, straight swap. As long as your motor in teh gsx is sound then why not ey?

Its a little faster in my experience to take out the tranny with the motor. You also have the advantage of mroe room inthe engine bay to fix anything, as well as checking out the tranny/block and all that good suff once its all out. If you are goign to be doing this swap, Id plan on a little mroe time and money for preventative maintenance and/or stuff you just may want to do while the motor/tranny are out (like motor mounts or something).... good luck

thanks man i really apreciate the info. i dont think its gonna be too hard but i need to get on it ass soon as i can cause i need a friggin ride. but thanks again man. if i need anything else ill ask.

thanks
JJ
