I just got my Big T-28 Killer installed along with 550cc injectors and a 255 fuel pump. I just wanted to check to make sure that without tuning the car would not feel any faster. I got in the car and the shop set everything up so that my idle would be OK and the car is drivable but the car feels a little faster. It might even be the same. Should I have felt a difference or does it have to be tuned before I feel any kind of difference? I am really upset about this becaue I thought that it would be faster. I spoke to the guys at the shop and they said that the turbo and fuel would not make the car faster the tuning after having that stuff installed would. I am going to take the car to a dyno to get it tuned next week I hope this will help. You can take a look at my profile to see what Mods I have done.

I posted this in the tuning by mistake Mods please delete that one.

tuning will play a HUGH part in power. My friend installed a turbo in his Del Sol a couple months ago untuned it was ok but after he let a shop tune it for him it felt like a whole new car. Also remember the Big T-28/B16G is just the next step up from the T-25 you might have had to high expectations

Well, don't forget about the 14B/ small 16G, they are also a step below the B16G. But definitely, it's all in the tuning......

I'm actually in the same path. I just installed my 16g this weekend and I don't have any supporting mods yet. I did feel a lot more top end since the boost holds and doesn't drop by 5500. I'll be getting those fuel mods soon hopefully.

wow.

Parts without tuning are worthless. Ask around, lots of people can tell you parts don't equal power.

You get a bigger turbo so you can run more boost with more efficiency. You can only run so much boost before you need more fuel. More fuel without more boost is pointless. The point of modding the car is to get more air and fuel into the engine and combust it making more power.

Add too much air (boost) and not enough fuel you melt or break stuff.

Too much fuel not enough air you just waste lots of gas and make less power and have a car the drives like a$s.

Add the right amount of air and fuel and lots of both you make serious power.

c'mon guys this is DSM 101 stuff ;)

Goblin is right, you can have a Turbo like John Shepard, but if your not tunned your worthless. With the 550's, and no tunning you will be dumping alot of fuel which in turn will slow you down! In some cases i have seen tunning add like 50-100 hp! Good luck

I have an appointment for dyno tuning on November 8th. I will let you know how it goes. The tech there says that once he is done with it it will feel like a whole new car. I will also post the HP numbers when I am finished.
