When you leave feedback for the guy, make sure you say something about being misled, so no one gets screwed. Or if they do its there own fault for not paying attention to your feedback.

Has anyone used or herd anything about this intercooler? Seems like a killer deal if you can make your own pipes? anyone?

Chris

PS sorry for you lose!

Well due to a major lack of turbulators, it probably wouldn’t work well at all. If you look at the picture of the inside, you can see right through it. On a good intercooler, the inside rows should have something similar to what the outside air passes through. The idea being to stir up the air and get all of it to touch the outside of the tube, and also cool the air because the turbulators are transferring heat to the outside air as well.

Flow rate means nothing if it doesn't cool the charged air.

Does that one look good to u?

what one?....the one chris posted? No...it doesn't look good cause you can see through it...because it doesn't have turbulators on the inside, and can't cool the air that well...Of course it should have a high flow rating without turbulators. There is not much of anything blocking the air's path through the intercooler.

so you dont think the one chris posted is even worth 400$

the link that chris posted is the one i have on my car right now..no piping yet,but i can get pics of it if you want me to mounted..its huge to say the least..i bought it before that went to the internet..mine flows 900 cfm but is the same exact thing right down to make and looks..this was from a company in canada that was custom making them..they told me when i bought mine that they were apexi cores..cant wait to see the performance..alot better than the stocker smic..

those ARE NOT apexi cores!, look at the INSIDE.. see how each row has 5 fins or spearations in it.. there should be about 25.. THAT is what cools the air, those fins create turbulence AND move heat.. one with that few of fins might aswell be a straight piece of pipe..

For 400 you can damn near get a real FMIC.

well what about the sperico coolers they are selling? the name is definatly says "quality". i dont have the cash to buy a expensive core. and as of now i dont need one yet, but it seems that 350 for a "Brand name" cooler is a killer deal.

and it was a great point " just because it says it can flow that much i doesn't mean it can cool it.".... never thought of it that way .... derp... i guess i could blow air through my oil cooler too but it wouldn't cool it....

That sucks dude. I bought a brand new IC off ebay and I very satified with it. But I spent a little bit more money on it and it was 3 inches.
