hey Guys,
Im wondering if any of u know how easy of a swap this is and if there is a guide to it also i have found many prices for these motors and i was woundering if anyone knows of a decent price i should pay and if there are any good sites or places to get them from

I wouldn't pay anything over 1500 for stock internaled 4G63 (Be it EVO, Galant, or Eclipse motor).

And for that mater, unless you've blown anything, crankwalked, spun a bearing, etc.. it's really, really not worth the pain to swap an engine. This is just a hunch, but considering how you're asking if you should buy an EVO3 motor, I'm guessing you really don't have that much experience with these cars.

no you shouldnt swap motors.. especially if theres nothing wrong with yours. there basically the same. i'm sure your money could be spent in other ways that would be much more benificial no matter what your goals are.

the evo3 motor as far as i know is the exact same thing as a 6 bolt from the same year - the only difference is that it comes with a 16g and 550's which you'd probably replace anyways. if you want to do the swap just look for a 6 bolt with all the parts needed for the conversion and take the one with the best price.

No, an EVO3 is a 2G motor with the same teeny tiny intake and exhaust ports, same weak rods, same crank, and some high compression (9:1) internals.

It has a bit nicer exhaust manifold and O2 housing, and a slightly larger throttle body (Same shitty intake manifold though).

It is NOT a six bolt. It has a Crank angle sensor, and a fixed cam angle sensor, just like the 2G's.
