Would a 2G intake manifold bolt onto a 1G head-6 bolt swap into a 2G? Would I have to go out and buy the whole intake manifold/TB from a 1G also?

You can pick up a 1g intake manifold for $75 or less. I actually have a spare one if you are interested PM me.
I am pretty sure that a 2g intake bolts up exactly the same as a 1g tho.

You dont neccesarily need the TB. I bought one off ebay for 15 bucks but it must have been from something other than a turbo 1st gen as it didnt fit. It was a bigger TB but the end had a tubed end and wouldnt bolt to the elbow. Oh well. The 2g bolter right up to the 1g intake manifold. I would definately suggest matching up the 1g intake manifold to the 1g head though to keep air flow as smooth as possible.

it will bolt up, but its not a good idea to do it
the runners on a 2g intake manifold are alot smaller then the ports in the 1g head, and that will cause you to lose power
same goes for the throtle body, you can use a 2g TB on either manifold, but a 2g TB is 52mm, while a 1g is 60mm, again you will make more power by using a 1g manifold and TB

the only real difference will be the power difference between the 2 set ups, your car will run fine with either one, but when you can find 1g intake manifolds with TB for about 100 bucks you might as well buy one and make the power you should be making with a 1g engine

Agreed. a 1G motor is always better for power. I plan to just do a full 6 bolt swap. Anyone want a fresh 126K 7 bolt motor cheap?
