I have a 1g bov right now and ordered the greddy type s, and i wanna know if i can install the greddy type s using the 1g flange, if i use this manual http://herpetology.com/dsm/bov.html ?

Yes you could use that method but like it says its hard to reverse and also it seems to me like it might be prone to leaking with the limited mating between the gasket and flange.

Just get a new intercooler pipe. Go to www.dejontool.com and order up a new pipe with the Greddy Type S flange. They aren't that much money. Good luck.
