Ok, there are little clips that must hold the wrist pins in the cylinder.
But the grooves inside pistons that must hold the little clips are not right sized so the clips will not be securely positioned inside the piston. It might seem so but they are not!
My mechanic found that out when rebuilding my engine (cause he is doing a fine job!) He sent the pistons to the machine shop and now they are fixed. I just wanted to let you guys know that there might be a problem with some of those pistons. I do have read about people having problems with those clips coming off and ruining the cylinder walls.
My piston set is labeled I-547P85 and according to Wiseco they were sold to a company Race Engineering. I bought them off from a person on this site. We had a similar JE piston set to compare and the JE had no such problem.
