I was wondering if anybody is running a 20g w/ the stock injectors. I know that the majority of the people here run 550-660s w/ a 20g, but I want to know whos still on stock injectors and how they are tuning at what boost levels. I heard of people running 24-25psi on 450's before, but that is kind of hard to believe IMO.

450's and a 20G is a waste of time, to be frank. On a 20G, you really, really, really need a bigger IC, and more fuel.

u might be able to run neary stock boost levels with stock injectors on a 20g, and u might be able to get away with around 14 psi if u had other supporting fuel mods like an AFPR and a fuel pump, but i can tell u one thing, ur going to be faster on stock injectors with the 14b at high boost then u will be with the 20g on low boost, its a waste of money to buy a 20g is ur too cheap to buy the injectors and other supporting mods to go along with it
as for 24 psi on stock injectors with a 20g, that nothing but BS, anyone who says they run 24 psi on stock injectors with an upgraded turbo is a liar, u couldnt run that much boost on 450s with a 16g, much less a 20g

if ur stock turbo is fried go for the 20g but DON'T let it boost past 10-11 psi! i have a feeling i'm gonna be maxxing out my 580's but you can run it if you are only at stock boost and then when u get injectors have fun :D

Just go buy some big injectors, tune them down with an AFC and turn the boost up. Don't run stock injectors with a 20G, it will be a waste of time and most likely hazardous to your car.

Check out my mods and then ask yourself, are stock injectors enough fuel for a 20G?

I am running a 20g GReddy Fmic, 255lph W/ stock injectors and I am not having problems with 18psi. Oh yeah and EGT's are running 1500 degrees at the top of 3rd.

Oh yeah I forgot to say that I am saving up for 660's for my next upgrade.

Well, if you're tuning by EGT, then you might be running lean and just not know it.

On pump gas, with 450's, you won't be able to run more than like 13-14 psi on a 20g. On race gas, close to 20 would be possible. The question is, why? You won't be able to flow much more, if any more, air than you would with a stock turbo, and thus you will not make more power. Bigger turbos are only worth buying if you can use the extra airflow. With 450's, you can't.

There is no reason a 14b would be faster than a 20g, with the same injectors and the same airflow. It might feel faster, but once they are spooled, they will make about the same power.

I have run well over 20 psi (23-24) with a 14b and 450's, on race gas, with no problems. I know many people who have done the same with 16g's. This only applies to race gas though.

I ran [email protected] on 450's on a TDO6 20G. 110 octane, 21 PSI.

On the street I ran 15 psi and managed a 13.2 on pump. But shittttty MPH, like 101. I was maxing out my injectors around 6k. 13 PSI ran perfect to redline....Its just a matter of not being an idiot, but you could drop a 62-1 into a DSM at stock boost and not max out injectors. There IS a limit to how much air there can be at a given boost level regardless of turbo and the 450's are enough fuel for 12-13 psi on pretty much any setup, and 14 psi on a 20g with a stock intercooler is doable.

If you can tune and your not dumb then it'svery possible. I'm thinking of running my 550's i have now on a PTE 50 trim. Just watch the knock count and don't turn the boost up with out some race gas in there. Good luck. :talon: :thumb:

I have a ported 14B on my car at ~15psi on 92 pump gas. I am running 90% injector duty towards 6k rpms and up.
I could turn up my boost more If I didnt run out of fuel, I need at least some 550's for this 14b.
No way in hell is 450's enough for a 20g. Get some 660's.

It says he has a Greddy FMIC. Kiko- Do you have a logger? What does your timing look like when you're running 18PSI. You can get away with it on race gas but pump gas no way. Regardless of what your EGTs say, I guarantee your timing is getting yanked if its on pump gas.

i ran my 20g on stock injectors for a little while, i could run 15-16psi without fuel cut, at 17 it would start to fuel cut

listen to kpt4321 , hitting high 12s on race gas with a 14b and some other mods is pretty impressive, 20g @ 10 psi might even be slower then a small 16g @ 10 psi , with stock injectors, 20g= overkill

now someone taht has 660's or even 720's , can do way more with a 20g
