I installed my 50 trim the other day and there is no way the stock passenger side fan will fit, so I'm in the market for a slimline of some sort. What brand and type of slimline fans do others run with the PTE 50 trim? I heard spal was a good fan to go with, but what size and type should i use, and what else do i need to buy with it to make it work and mount properly?

i got a prostreet 1350 fan for cheap with my ic kit that fits there now, i have it on the oppisite side of the radiator doing a push, works great, and was only 80 bucks
Do you still have your AC condenser? I'm wondering if I will have enough clearance between the radiator and the AC condenser to install this fan... that is a good idea using a pusher on the backside because i only have about 1.5" clearance between my turbo outlet and the radiator as it is now.

yes i still have the condensor, it is a slim fan im telling ya :)
can you throw me a link for that fan? I don't see that particular one on their website. thanks

Are you sure you can't fit the stock fan back in? Is it because of the internal wastegate actuator? I have a green turbo w/ the PSI fmic kit and I can keep my stock passenger side fan. I'd also be able to keep my AC fan if my o2 mounted wg wasn't in the way. Stock fans are the way to go IMO. They big for a reason... they flow WAY more air. A must if you want to use your AC on hot days.

Is the 11" on the passenger side? The clearance problem I am having is that the elbow on the turbo angles towards the radiator to where I only have a little over one inch clearance between the elbow and the radiator. I would prefer to find a puller fan to put on the front, but I don't want to order something and find out it won't fit. I'm thinking maybe i should buy a pusher and move the ac condenser back some more so I can mount the pusher on the back of the radiator. I'm open to any suggestions.

I just recieved the fal slimline fans. They come with some wires and a temp box, was wondering if there is any easier simplified ways of hooking up the fans. Thanks

I know this isnt really an option for most 2g guys, but MarkSAE is right, the stock fans flow a LOT of air, and for a reason. If there is any way you can hack your stock passengerside fan to make it fit, do it, and then get a slimline for the AC fan if you still need it.

My car, stock passenger fan, no AC however there would be plenty of room for a slim fan if I had the AC still. Sorry the quality is kinda low.
