I just wanted to know if anyone has done a 6 bolt swap into an automatic and what is involved in matching up the tranny to the engine.

Thanks,

Charlie, you're nuts.. WHEN DOES THE MADDNESS END? You're never gonna drive your car if you keep this up.. :thumb:

Yes, someone has done a six-bolt into a 2G with an A/T.

I believe that their name was AmericanPsycho1 over at DSMTalk. I heard there's a lot of issues, and my personal opinion is to go manual if you're going to go six-bolt/4G64.

But hey, whatever. See how much power the Mitsu auto can take.

did something happen to your motor? i would like to know if you can do this or not since my car is down for the count and i would not like to change to a manual

the auto's run very good times and hold up well with the shift kit/end clutch and external tranny cooler

some guys are cutting 1.6 60 foots in their a/t's

I just wanted to have an option as a second engine. I just dropped over 4g's on a level ten tranny with all the bells and whistles. 4300 rpm stall speed torque convertor, shift tronic, and I have a tranny cooler also. I was just throwing around the idea of building a 4G64 in my spare time.
