im getting major overboost/boost creep using my profec b and tial 35mm wastegate. the low setting will start out a a rock solid 10 psi but will then jump all the way past 20-22 psi. the hi will do the same except it starts out at 15 psi. i have the side nipple on the WG t'd into the bov line and the solenoid IN line is coming from the nipple on the compressor housing of my turbo. the line for the control unit is t'd with the fpr/boost gauge. i've tried the gain knob in both directions but it doesn't seem to help. ive also changed the dipswitch settings from normal external wastegate setting to the overboost external wastegate setting and it did nothing. any help would be appreciated, thanks

i'm not familiar with profec but here's an idea, if you can have the boost controller set at the normal setting(zero boost), the boost should be whatever the wastegate is set at, if it is still showing 20-22psi then you connected it the wrong way, just switch the hoses.
hope this helps a bit

Are you using both Nipples on the wg itself? I only saw you mentioning the side nipple. Where is your WG setup at? On the manifold or o2 housing? If its at the O2 housing, have you ported the turbine side to allow for sufficient flow?

An external gate coupled with the profec requires the use of BOTH nipples on the Tial to work properly. Also, you need to make sure your lines from the stepper motor and the gate are as short as possible. Check www.greddy.com for technical assistance installation issues.

im using both nipples. the top nipple is coming from the solenoid, which is receiving the pressure signal from the nipple on the compressor housing of my turbo. the side nipple is ran the bov line. i have a tial 35mm wastegate mounted on a turbonetics cast exhaust manifold. the solenoid is mounted in the area where the washer reservoir comes into the engine. im guessing the line from the compressor to the solenoid is 15"-18" long. the line from the solenoid to the top wastegate nipple is 12"-14" long. are these too much?? i can't shorten them very much.

the top part of the tial isn't it supposed to be for vaccum and the side is for boost? if thats so i think you installed it the opposite way..... not sure though since i dont have a tial
