Alright well I have a 1997 GSX with intake pipe and filter, and a 1g BOV. The exhaust i ordered was a 2.5" 02 Eliminator Turbo back with bullet muffler. No cat, straight pipes, externally dumping.
I ordered my RNR turbo back on 06/06 and received it on 07/10. When the packaged arrived the box was fairly messed up. In places ripped with pipes or hangers sticking out. Also when i opened it, one end of the middle pipe was bent. Which had to be taken care of before i could fit it together.
The installation procedure had some hang ups but nothing me and my buddies couldn't handle. I orderd the non-SS piping so i went to a local hardware store and got some high temp BBQ rust proof spray and sprayed the pipes. Removal of the old exhaust was fairly simple EXCEPT for the back bolt on the o2 sensor housing. It took us a good 1 1/2 hours to get just that bolt off.
We tried a number of things, eventually we jimmied a socket with about 5 different joints and extentions to remove the bolt. After that, Installation was fairly easy except we had trouble lining up the hangers so we eventually took the middle straight pipe off and hacked about an inch and a half off so it would fit better.
Now for the test run. I had butterflies as i put the key in the ignition. Right when i turned it roared. It was so nice sounding. Exactly how i wanted my car to sound. Its a low, smooth, bassy sound that rolls. I had the Ext. dump so I'm sure i don't need to tell you at WOT it was INSANE. It sounded like a harley on crack (this is a good thing). As far as performance i don't even need to say, it pulled so much harder. The car responds quicker, pulls harder, and puts you back in your seat when you hit full boost.
All in all i'm very happy with the exhaust. The shipping, and the month long wait were kind of sketchy but i would say its well worth it. I will have pictures and hopefully video up by tonight.
