Hey, i just had my crank end play checked. It is .012. Spec is .002 - .0071 with the max .0098! Just to open up the engine and replace the thrust bearing, it will cost 1300 for the labor alone!

I called the mitsubishi motors headquarters, and they said that there is no recall out on this problem. I have heard from so many different ppl that this has happened to them. The manager at MItsu Hdqtrs, said that if they get enough complaints that they might investigate this issue, and then ALL documented repairs involving crankwalk would be reimbursed if there is a factory recall! You guys HAVE TO CALL THEM. If we get enough ppl to call we might get the NHTSB to do an investigation and/or recall! 888-MITSU2002
