motor serial number?

im putting a head on my car because the timing belt jumped, i called mitsubishi to get the head gasket, intake manifold gasket, head bolts and a few other things. they said that i need to give them my motor serial number or some sort of identification number that is stamped on the block does anyone know where it is stamped on the motor? they said that the number starts with aa00. any help will be appreciated, thank you

Getting parts from a place that hasn't dealt with these cars extensively before potentially may be a PITA and you may get the incorrect part. Call a place like Conicelli that has sold numerous parts for DSM'ers and you will get them at a discounted price as well.

But I believe that the motor's serial number is at the front of the motor below the front balance shaft cavity.
