*this includes boring the pin hole, narrowing the small end and resizing the crankshaft end"


I got this from the turbo trix website, can someone please explain y they have to resize the crankshaft end. If u have a 1g engine and are using 1g rods y does the crankshaft end have to get resized if the piston is attached to the top of it.

(I'm either gonna look smart for asking this question or someone is gonna flame me for it.I just woke up and couldnt quit understand it.)
 
Not to worry, "re-size" just means to bring the big end back into round, and make sure it's the proper diameter. They're not really changing anything, it's just a cleanup procedure. Make pals with a machinist, you'll find out why NASCAR, NHRA and Formula One engines cost so many, many thousands of dollars.
