im going to buy a 97 gst with a japanese 6 bolt not installed for a very good price, but the guy said that there are sum modifications that i have to do mount that engine. What exactly mods do i need for this, besides motor mounts

Its easy if you just use the block and not the head...if you just use the block you only need to trim the motor mount on the timing belt side a little and thats it...if you do the head and all you need to wire the CAS and shizznit to the ecu.. but heres link that will tell you everything to.. go to www.magnusmotorsports.com and then go to tech articles and click on it and then click on 1g to 2g swap..

i HAVE a 97 GS-T with a 6-bolt bottom end and 1G head. the driver's side motor mount needs to have the top bolt hole for the block trimmed off to fit the waterpump. remember to use the 2G mount but the 1G tensioner arm.
