Would Dejon Tools SMIC be enough for a 20G equipped 2G Eclipse?
Here's the link

I'd really prefer a front mount but I'm trying to save money and I also like the sleeper aspect.
Just wondering if this would heat soak quickly or not and would it be worth the money.
I'd love to hear from someone who's used it also.
Thanks in advance

The supra sidemount should be fine for a 20g on race gas but on pump gas i'm sure it'd suck. There's a local running a 50trim turbo(bigger than a 20g) on a supra sidemount and makes good power on the sidemount and racegas (408 whp).

That doesnt mean its efficient dude...just cause he made that power. ANyway I bet when the day comes that he upgrades to a FMIC (a nice core) that he could easily pick up 20whp from just that!

ANyway my point is that for a car that drives on the road and doesnt constantly pump crack through its veins will not suffice with ANY smic and a 20g/larger than 16g turbo...

sigh, you should really get the front mount. Dejon has a relatively cheap front mount for $50 more than the large side mount. You could use the side mount, but it will not cool the air as well as a larger frontmount and probably heat soak after a while. before you spend 450 on that large sidemount, spend 499 on the front mount. do the work, you'll appreciate it later. (if you want stealth, get the side mount and hook up a system where you spray the intercooler down with freon while you're boosting. the cold freon will keep the intercooler cold.) My buddy did that. it's like nitrous though, the fun stops until you change the bottle.
good luck
regards.

Candela smacked me back to reality after his first post. I know better than this but it was late and I was crunching numbers. Needless to say, it crossed my mind. I know I could get away with a smic, but I don't want to just get away with it. I would really prefer a FMIC in the first place. Stealth is nice but true efficiency for power and reliability is the best thing. I hate to spend money twice on something when you can do it right the first time around.
Thanks all
