I have the Walbro 255lph and just dynoed my car and I was running too rich, which fuel pressure regulator should i get and where is a good place to find one. Also what range should the air/fuel mixure should be?

I bought my SX FPR from importpoweronline.com, who sells them for $145 shipped. You will need to get a bunch of fittings to get it working, as well as a gauge.

These guys sell the fittings as a kit for $100.

You will also need a Fuel Pressure gauge for $35.

So its kinda expensive. You may be better off buying a 1G fuel Rail. And the Bushur Kit. I have the SX, but have not bought the other parts needed for install.

Get the Buschur unit. Expensive, but it bolts right up and works. Actually, when you add up the cost of fittings that you need to hook up the Aeromotive, it's not too much more expensive than that.

B&M are junk, they only raise, not lower the fuel pressure, if you had a fuel pressure gauge you would see that. Buschur is nice, but some report of it hitting the coil pack on certain models, I have hte Aeromotive, and love it, There is a good write up here http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=86669 about how to install it with alot of pictures. the SX/Aeromotive is a universal part that has been out for a good deal of time and is proven to work reliably. (minus the poor heat treated spring issue) but you can find a flaw with anything. I say SX/Aeromotive.

I like the new Earls PRO350 line. Its a black nylon covered line that wont chew thru stuff underhood, it has a lower operating pressure, (350 psi compared to 1800-2100 PSI for the SS) but who runs over 350 PSI on fule anyways??? plus it stands out, people like the look of mine. check it out at jegs/summit or something like that.

Summit also has the Aeromotive for like 130'ish and free shipping. Depends on where you want your money going. For those on a budget, this is a good place, otherwise nothing wrong in paying a few more bucks and supporting the DSM specific vendors. I think I spent about $30 bucks for the fuel rail adapter from DSMotorsports & 70 more in AN fittings and hose to get mine done. I mounted it off to the side by the drivers side motor mount. Oh, also another 20 bucks for a liquid filled gauge from summit. I've have pics up in the gallery of mine shortly, just been to lazy to take a picture.

The Buschur unit won't hit the coil pack on a 2g. It is a problem on the 1gs though. It pinches one of the plug wires pretty bad.

you are not really lowering the fuel pressure. Think about this, The B&M uses the stock orfice (the orfice is a pin sized hole that allows fuel to return to the tank) well lets say you up the flow via a larger pump, it will also increase pressure. Now the B&M, since it uses the same orfice (restriction), as the stock FPR that was already overrunning causing the fuel pressure the increase (due to the added flow/ pressure) the B&M is going to have a BASE pressure equal to that of the stock FPR, (which is already higher than stock, and will not raise in a linear fashion with boost 1:1), and since the B&M can only raise the pressure you are already shooting yourself in the foot.

The only way to combat this is to add a FPR that uses a bigger orfice, (hence lowering pressure). Aeromotive has a huge orfice, just look up from the bottom and is adjustable from 30-70 PSI (I may be mistaking just going off my head now). So you really did lower your pressure, just back down to where it is suppose to be. Hope that helped out some JessGSX

Anyone even received a new reg from CAS in the last few months?
www.chargedair.com

The new version worked great on a few friends cars and when I was going to get one, I had heard of this huge backorder so I held off.

I helped a friend put this one on and it could not get any easier to install and tune. But, there is no way in hell I am going to deal with another questionable shop like a lot of the pop up, out of my garage, Dsm shops these days.

ive had the cas fpr. works good. i have recnetly gone to aem fuel rial and regulator. the earls lines and fittings are the hardest part of the install.
