IF my block overheated to the point where the sparkplug wires melted, Is that a chance that the pistions shrunk?
 
no, theres a chance that your pistons expanded, killed the rings, and possibly "bored" the block out a lil. now the pistons are back to normal size but they have created a huge gap btwn the piston wall and the piston. check for cracked piston rings and pistons, as well as wear on the walls.
