Allright, so my motor has 'locked up' or that is atleast all the mechanic that I took my car too said. He said to find out he needs to tear it apart. To a nice pricey tune. What I would like to know, is is it possible, to temporarily swap in my engine from my 95 TSi A/T into my 91 GSX 5 Speed? I want to put the 7 bolt in to use to drive around, and completley rebuild my 6bolt. Is this possible? Thanks for the help.

Edit: Me and my friend could only think of a flywheel being needed for this project. Anything else?

I thinking a few things here:

Why don't you drivew the 95 around while you motor gets rebuilt?

If the 95 doesn't run, why don't you sell the motor to buy or finance your 6 bolt rebuild?

If you do swap the motor in I would go with a 1G head so that you could could use the 1G CAS. Also the oil coolers are different. The 91 uses an air-oil type and the 95 uses a liquid-oil type. I beleive these can be used in tadem. You will also have to get a 7 bolt AWD flywheel which you stated above. There is more but it is too earlier for me to think.

Only the 90's have the air oil cooler.
The reason why he doesnt drive the 95 is because the engine bay look like burnt toast.

I dont see why you couldnt put the 7bolt in. just use the head from your gsx, etc. I still don't think your 6bolt locked up. If it will turn over once its not locked up. Try changing out batteries or something man.

LOL now that I think of it. When you messaged me you said is it possible for any 91's to come with 7bolts.
Not will a 7bolt fit in my 91gsx.
You need to explain your reasons more :thumb:
