Hey, I have am in the middle of the 1G swap. I have 2 issues

1) Should I use the old Idle Speed controller? Since its newer? according to the website below, they are the same... but they used the older 91 model... instead of the 2G in their car.

2) How do I source the EGR? according to
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/2gtbswap.htm
I should split my P to go to P and E.... but I have no P. 98/99s dont have them.

http://www.turbo4wd.com/

Then go to the 92/92 TB?EGR Mapped link on the left hand side. That should give you all the info you need to do the swap. I used my 2g sensor where I could (not sure if that was the ISC or not), but one of the sensors you use has to be the 1g sensor because the 2g won't work.

Thanks, that helps a lot, according to that page It looks like
E-99 goes to P-92.
A-99 goes to A1-92
A2-92 gets capped
E-92 gets capped.

I still dont know about the ISC though. My car does seem a little rough, now that I am done. I used my 99 ISC. according to RRE, I need to use the 2G TPS... but does not mention which ISC

Basically, I used the 2g sensors if I could. You will know if you can't use the 2g sensor as it won't plug in properly(I only used 1 of the 1g sensors because I had to). It could also be that you don't have the TPS setup properly. Have you checked it to make sure its at the proper voltage?

Hey, thanks for all the help. I decided to pick up a Voltmeter. Dont know how to use it though. What should I set it at?

Thanks for all the help. I dont have a .5V on my voltmeter. but I ended up using the ->|-

I think that symbol means continuity check. For the 4 and 3 pins, I found the point of continuity/ discontinuity and set it for continuity. I hope that was right.

4/3 read .084(out of car with feeler)
4/3 read .124(installed in car with feeler)
4/2 read .825(ignition switch with feeler)

all the other settings on my voltmeter would not register. I never used one before, so I have no idea what I am doing. But my car seems to idle much better with the readings above. So I think everything is fine.

settigns availible on my voltmeter are
DCV 500V 200V 20V 2V
ACV 200V 500V
DCA 200ma 20ma 2ma
->|-
Ohm 200 2K 20K 200K 2M

Glad you got it working alot better :) You can also adjust the biss screw as well, I forgot to mention that. But if you think you got it, then I would let it be.

Yeah, it seems to idle the way it did with the 52MM throttle body.

Of course, the car didnt idle well with the 52mm, but I think that is Fuel related. When I get this SX FPR and HKS twinpower in, I think that will be fixed.

Thanks for the help, I doubt I would have ever figured it out. I cant drive the car right now, since my bumper is off(cut for FMIC and waiting for upgraded lower Greddy FMIC pipe replacement from RRE), but I cant wait to test it out. .
