So I'm coming back from Best Buys on Monday and notice the check engine light is on, and doesn't want to turn off. Gauges look fine, nothing's overheating, oil and everything is alright, pop the hood, everything looks in place and fine. Mitsubishi dealership takes a look at it, and call me up with a whole bunch of problems naturally. Apparently my HKS SSQV blowoff valve screwed up the throttle position sensor. And they've got to get a new one, and send away for a new 2g bypass valve ::weeps:: so I told them if they were gonna do that, might as well go for a 1g bypass valve instead. The fact that the timing belt, front wheels, transmission flush and antennae mask need rejuvenating too are all irrelevant though, anyone have any problems with the TPS and aftermark BOV's recently? Is this just a thing of entirely too much bad luck?

It's most likely your TPS just went, and has nothing to do with the BOV, they just want your $. I was told I need a new inner tie-rod and rear suspension knuckle, and they want $730, when I can fix it myself for $40, and $5 for a rear knuckle bushing.
