Is 150 beans worth a 1g head, intake manifold and throttle body? All are stock and will be ported via my dremmel. Is the stock 1g manifold better than the 2g or worth anything? This will be on a 2g gst with a big t28 killer with supporting mods. Also what do I need to install these things and how hard is it usually?
thanks

I'm not sure if it is a direct swap for the 1G intake manifold, but i know that the 1G Intake Manifold and throttle body are much better flowing than the stock 2G and they are a good upgrade for 2G cars. I would wait and see what someone posts about the swap/install. I think if would be a good upgrade with your future t28

Check the archives. It depends on what your goals for the care are. I would say for 150 bones thats a good deal. I would check to make sure the valve seals are good along with the head not being warped. The swap is not just a direct swap you will have to pull the timing belt and swap a few sensors. If you plan on keeping emissions some mods to the IM will need to be made. Check out www.roadraceengineering.com for more info. I hope that helps.

Cablefed thank you so much you just saved me 75 beans. With just reading that I decided to just get the mani and throttle body and port out my head to match. With the mani being bolt on to my head all I hjave to do is port it to match. Thanks again

Good luck. In order to port the head to the manifold you will still need to pull the head to do a good job and keep any metal from getting into the galleys. The manifold won't need to be ported at all since its already big in size. My sugguestion is and this is what I did just get the extrude honed intake manifold for a 2G put on the bigger throttle body and call it quits. Its to much work for the result. Your still looking at a great deal of work if you use the 1G manifold if you use the 2G manifold its a simple bolt on procedure any you won't have to pull the head. Good luck.
