Putting a 2G exh. mani. on a 1G. Just a question...

Im installing a TRE ported 2G exhaust mani on my rider here this comming week. What gaskets do I need, 1G, 2G, or they the same, got part #'s? Also, what kind of gains am I looking at with a HUGE port job with this 2G exh. mani?

i used a 1g gasket for my 91 talon tsi. and porting the manifold does alot, well for me it did. i spool up alot faster then be4. u'll like it alot.

Sweetness. So 1G gasket will fit a 2G ported mani? What other gaskets do I need for this swap?

Did you have the runners ported or just the outlet? If you had the outlet ported to something like 7cm then you will need a 7cm exhaust mani to turbo gasket. Where it bolts to the head you wont need a special one, you can use the one you had for the 1G mani.

Yeah, its a TRE ported 2G mani, so the runners ar ported as well as the outlet. Where can I find a 7cm gasket? Thanks for the help....

14B at the moment. Ill have a standard 16G going on within a couple weeks though.

maybe you already did, but make sure to shave the lower-right corner off the manifold so it will fit.
