Anyone buy that SM IM for $250 in the classifieds?

Wondering if anyone bought that Sheetmetal Intake manifold from some shop(I think it was called K2) that was selling them for $250. Seeing if it's working out for those that have purchased it.

i bought it. i was supposed to get it today but i dont even think theyve shipped it yet. im sort of used to dsm vendors being full of shit about ship times so no big deal. ill post something when i get it.

I wouldn't waste your money on that intake manifold. Save up and go with a Forrester Racing Heads or Magnus.

for $600? no thanks. if i dont like it ill sell it. simple as that. but just for shits and giggles, why dont you like it? seems like a well made peice. are you of the "you get what you pay for" mind?

No, but when I saw the pictures of the IM and the shop "race" car I was immediately turned away from it. The welds looked terrible, and from what I could see all it looked like was a poorly designed plenum with 4 runners welded on. I doubt it was even flow tested, but I could be wrong. It's worth a try I guess.

well heres my update on this intake. after waiting a month for it (they told me a week) i cancelled the charge to my CC. screw these guys. everytime i called they said they would get right back to me. after about 12 times of this i said screw it.

Yep I was going to buy one, but every time I asked for more pictures of the inside etc. They would say ok I'll get them to you tonight.

After they said that 5 times. I decided I won't be buying anything from them.

Yeah Magnus all the way...Mine looks so nice..and it the best quality...that K2 place had a wack Manifold...welds look like a 5 year old did them...very odd shape...even if its 250 bucks not worth the money for a ugly manifold...which they have no proof of numbers...and will not respond to peopel with simple inside pics of the mani...Hmmm sounds ghey to me...
