stock lifters or upgrades?

I am sick of the ticking and since I will need to replace the valve seals soon I figured I will replace the lifters too. What do you guys recommend I do here, get stock ones? Upgrade ones? What are the benifits of either option? Anything else I should do while I am at this? (plan is to leave the head on) ThanX
