I just got a t-28 turbo, ported to fit a 7cm gasket, two weeks ago. So now i am just waiting on the money to buy a new exhaust manfold and have it ported to fit. Anyway i was wondering if there is any way i can put the ported turbo on the non ported manifold because I just noticed that my stock turbo has a ton of shaft play on it and i think that might be the sorce of my strange "high throttle studdering problem." Anyway i just wanted to know if this is possible and if it is, what size gasket should i get to fit it.

thanks,
kenny

I would say just use the 7cm gasket that way the gasket wont be a restriction in the exhaust gas flow. it was cover the turbo perfectly but there will be a little bit of overlap from the mani...no big deal in my opinion

Thanks for the responses guys. I really just wanted to change the turbo because the factory one is really messed up. I know not having the manifold ported is a pretty big restriction and i will get that fixed soon. Also where can i get the gaskets from and which ones should i get?

thanks for the help,
kenny
