does nebody have an exhaust cut out on there 2nd gen gst/gsx?? and if so, do you have an electric valve switch to open it and close it?? just wondering if nebody has done this to there dsm and if they have had ne problems with it.:)

I asked this question a few weeks ago with no response. I know there different types of cutouts, i have seen some that run off the throtel angle and some that work off a toggel switch mounted in the car.

I just wanna know if gains are atleast the same compared to a regular 3inch cat-back. I would think it would be the same or better, but its hard to say. Im thinking about get one and puttin the stock cat-back back on, or a modified stock unit, for the total sleeper effect.

I hope someone with experience with them will chime in and enlighten us.

seriously....plz help!

I thought about going exhaust cut out, but then I chose not too. I already had on the car a ported 2g o2 housing, RRE 2.5"/3" downpipe (2.5" from the o2 housing to the flex section, 3" flex section, 3" piping to cat or test pipe), 3" test pipe, and 3" thermal.

I think I have plenty of straight thru flow for the turbo turbine side. What I decided to do was go with an o2 dump housing. So I found a really good condiction used 2.5" o2 housing with wastegate dump. So now the turbine side is bigger (2.5" with the new housing and the ported stock 2g housing was at 2.36") for better spool up and flow, plus I have the atmos dump on the wastegate.

This combo should be better than an exhaust cut out in my opinion.

damn, sounds nice, but i really wanna do this cut out. but i guess nobody else has done it???
