I'm looking at buying a GT10 from Slowboy racing.. Under the options they offer a TSO4 housing to replace the TO4E that comes standard. What is the difference between the two? I'd call Slowboy up but it's 11:54 PM so you get the idea.. ;)

Mike told me that the GT-10 comes with the T04B or you can upgrade to the T04E housing.

The GT10 comes standard with a 3" mitsu cover..... The ones used on my "M" series turbos. Why? The compressor wheel is well matched for this cover, it fits with no denting of the waterpipe, it looks cool, and it just simply WORKS very well.

For those who doubt this cover and its "efficiency" I suggest you take a look and see that a W. Pa. gentleman has gone over 140 mph in the 1/4 with this compressor cover.... ( Mr. Brown, FP red ) Not to mention the countless 11 second time passes many of us mortals have made with this style cover...

You can get a GT10 with any cover you wish however :)

Sorry for the confusion... You can get any of my GT series with this cover also....

Thanks for clearning that up!! We'll talk business as soon as I can muster 1600 together... :D

All of these compressor wheels are garrett wheels made with the T04S (not ts04) compressor housing. I would think that the best housing would be the one that garrett designated the wheel to be in. (i.e. the T04S).

I agree.... to a point.

The 60-1 was suppose to be in a TW cover...... Although many use it in a 52020 mitsubishi cover... and have went 145 MPH... Can you argue about this?

I am not arguing :D

I actually dont know anything about the T04S. What are the specs?

I am sure that all the housings offered would work fine. But, I like others realize that alot of research goes into the garrett set ups and know you cant go wrong with the keeping their set up.

Maybe a better question is what housing do you recomend for the GT-10 and GT-11?

The 3" mitsu?

I am not arguing

I hate the internet for this reason! LOL, You can never tell the other persons feeling/ mood when they write something.

Most of us rely on individual testing, and what works per application. However, most of the wheels we use were not intended for the compressor covers we put them in. We try our best to make certain things easier ( like fitment ), but not at the cost of performance.

The GT10 and GT11 are very well suited for the mitsu cover.

Mike, what are the specs on the GT-11? I was considering the GT10 as well, actually spoke to you about it. Thanks.

And I can cut steak with a butter knife. Can it be argued that it's not the *best* way to do it even though the results are the same?

Just another way of looking at it IMO instead of "my car runs tens, does your car run tens?" (<==A response given to my Nissan friend who works for Garrett designing turbo's when he gave an opinion. :D )
