Smaller oil filter

I recently built and installed a 3" O2 housing on my 91 Talon. After I was fininshed I went to change the oil, needless to say I had to demolish the filter to get it off.

I know there is a smaller one available but I don't know the application or part#.

Does anyone know what application or part no. on the smalller one?

STP oil filters for the 7-bolt engines are tiny. may want to look at those.

If you want a shorter filter go with the 3000gt filter. Is is big and short.

The 95+ filters are skinny and tall.

Just depends on where you need space.

I too have a 3" o2 eliminator pipe and my 2g filter is right into the dp. I am trying a 1g filter since they are about 3/4" shorter. Not sure if this will work.

i had the same problem so i brought a oil filter relocate kit from summit racing. it was like $35

Hmm, maybe I'll have to try the 2G one. Hopefully being skinnier it might fit, but then again it might be too tall.

I don't really like the idea of disasembling everything to change the oil.

I might just have to go with a relocation kit.

you still use your old oil fliter it just relocate it where you want it

Man, I didn't suspect anyone might build a smaller filter than these. I've seen bigger thimbles. Is there a larger one we can use? I'm used to tossing a Ford filter on Datsun motors.

I have the same problem, I got one that fits from my mechanic. forgot what its called though. but I heard the mitsubishi filter is small and work good too
