hey guys, rite now i'm not really sure if i connected my mbc wires wrong or if it sumtin else. my car is idling around 1500k, i tried adjustig the screw all the way in, and still there, also i'm boosting well over 19 pounds, when i screw it all the way in, it goes to 20, when i turn it it, it goes to 20, anybody know what the prob is? i have a turbo xs mbc, and hks bov, venting out. if anybody has any idea please tell me. rite now i'm changing the spark plugs and gapping them to 32-33, and changing the valve cover gasket. thanks guys for your help;)

One possibility is that your wastegate flapper is stuck. This happened on my friend's T-25 and his boost would jump to 20+ when he got on it. But to see if it's your MBC, unhook it and run a hose between the compressor housing nipple and the wastegate actuator. It should boost to only around 9. If your boost still soars, check the wastegate actuator arm. With much effort, you should be able to move it.

I hope your not changing spark plugs and gasket because you think it will help your problem, because it won't. But consider gapping the plugs at .028 if you're gonna change them anyway.

whoa there hoss
youre overboosting multiple times, gapping the spark plugs incorrectly, and you're afraid of the wires going to your mbc being wrong?

heres some help:
1. dont overboost any more. do not. dont.
2. try what guy above me said. run a vacuum line straight from a pressure spot on the turbo (BOV top chamber vac line, turbo pressure spot, FPR vac line, etc) straight to the waste gate acuator. if your boost still doesnt go down, your wastegate is fugged up somehow. if it does, you have hooked up your MBC wrong, or you have it set way too high. the vac line coming out of the long side of the mbc needs to go to the wastegate acuator.
3. spark plugs should be bp7res, bp7es, bp6res...something similar to those, NGK. gap should be 0.028 - 0.030, or 0.026 if you like throwing in way too much boost.

the idea of running a line directly from the comp. housing to the wg actuator is a good one, but that wouldnt rule out a wg actuator failure :thumb: a better way to do it is to take the cotter pin out of the flapper end of the wg actuator arm, remove the arm from the flapper, and use some chicken wire or something like that to hold the flapper open. your car should hardly build boost.

also, your boost controller has nothing to do with the idle. try adjusting the biss on the throttle body to change that.

also check for an intake leak.

and if youre changing your plugs get some NGK BPR7ES and gap them to .28". i have a 16g at 19 psi and they never miss(well they wouldnt, but my coil pack is so corroded it looks like i left it in the ocean for a few days).
