I just bought a Hks S-AFR today. I wanset planing on buy this, but the price was right:D . I just have some quick questions for the ppl that have used this on there cars. First of is about the response funtion. It talks about Rpm point values can be made between the range of 1m/sec. ~100m/sec. in increments of 1m/sec. What the hell does that mean

The next is about the EDIS funtion. Now I have heard it doesnt work with are cars. But it only say's that is does not work with Speed desity systems. Which makes complete sense. The whole point of the Edis is to buffer big flutuations in the airflow signal. Cause by venting the BOV. So isnt it suposed to work with the karmen air flow meter? That just seems to make sense???

I have set this unit up on cars a few times. That 1m/sec crap boggled me, I just set the RPM points and adjusted the percentage myself until I liked what I saw thats all.

The EIDS is the same as what the SAFC does in relation to helping with atmoshperic Bov. Neither really work all that well and still cause the car to run rich. Personally unless you have standalone there is no reason to even try to run atmospheric because it's hurting your performance.

I dont know why it wouldnt work. I thought this is the whole point of the EDIS? Hks says it should work? Just not on a speed density system. Yah i have to firgure out what the repsonse funtion is all about. I have heard different things about what its for and does:confused:

Honestly I never really took the time to figure it out.. I just setup the unit on a wideband to make the car run properly, other than that, I ignored all the rest of what that thing does.

Honestly I don't think anything can correct for air loss inbetween shifts no matter what it says it will do...

I have and tried the EDIS function. Useless but ev erything else works great.

i you my pocket logger and set it up.
I just look for knock counnt timing and O2 read.

VPC will be here at the end of the week:D
