Heyguys, just wondering what the quietest 3inch turbo back exhaust is?? Withouth losing performance, mind you
Any help would be appreciated
thanx

The Apex N1 3" exhaust is the quietest exhaust you can get without any performance hits. it also has a reducer to put in the muffler to make quieter if needed. also kirb, i dont know if there is a difference in sound for the 2g turbo back but my buschur 3' is the loudest i have heard on a DSM. It has no silencers or anything to deaden the noise. Pinky trust me i know first hand that the N1 is the quietest 3" i have ever heard and i have heard alot of different exhausts for DSM's.

dont think there's such thing as a quiet turbo back w/o losing performance.

but when I had my 3" Apexi dunk catback it was the quietest ive heard,
but when I put the 3" dp and tp on it I can hear idling from way inside my house

RS-R will be the quiest. N1 been quiet?????? maybe with silencer on, but without silencer it is will over 95 db sound level.

Don't get ATR, that sucker's loud. Whatever you get, make sure the pipes don't touch anything under the car. The whole system should hang from rubber hangers and be able to move around without knocking into anything. If it touches anywhere it'll transmit alot of noise into the car. Don't ask me how I know.

I just gotta used HKS turbo exhaust for real cheap ( only reason I bought it and put on, I was planning on getting a Thermal before) and this thing sounds stock. The only time you'll notice is when you decellarate around 2500rpm. Highway cruising and street driving is pretty much stock sounding. The only draw back is that it's mostly 60mm piping with a short 70mm by the muffler.

I have a Magnaflow with a testpipe and with a resonator. It is loud as hell, but pretty deep. I don't like it too much. I just like the stock apperance and stock looking tips.

No good performance 3" will be very quiet. That said, I've got the Buschur 3" and it's fantastic sounding. Deep but not annoyingly loud. I've heard a lot of others and it's the best so far. I'm very satisfied with it and I'm very picky on how my car sounds.

It seems tuned for deep bass notes that aren't as audible. That being said I have set off a few car alarms in a parking garage from the rumble of decellerating in 2nd. They must have been set really lightly because I didn't think it was loud at the time =/

Simple, Keep you stock exhuast, and then get a 3.0 Cutout for when you want to play, it will be LOUD for that time but fast.

RSR is the quietest. It very close to stock, and it passes the California decibel levels also for an exhaust system.

does the n1 have a resonator with it...im trying to custom bend it and jsut get the muffler..i wnat o know if hte kithas a resonator

No such thing. If you want quiet go stock.

I have the Greddy Power Extreme and it sounds near stock until you open the throttle, but at that point even stock makes noise. You will have to cut the "neck down" section when you add a 3" dp and/or cat though.
