I installed a mandrel bent 2.5" Magnaflow catback. It was model # 14830, which is the street series, a less agressive model. It looks just like stock, but is stainless steel, it looks very tasteful and seems as if it belongs on there.

I also had my test pipe put in at the same time. And because I didn't want to hear my exhaust I also put a resonator in it. The car is very loud. Reading other peoples reviews, they said it would be quiet, it was far from it.

It is deep, it is also border line rice sounding, but you can tell there is something different about it. I am thinking of putting another resonator on it just to quiet it down. I have a very deep, clean, and very loud exhaust on my Z28, and this exhaust is just as loud. I would compare the sound to more like a Supra with aftermarket exhaust, not quite as deep as my Z28 though. But it just doesn't sound right on a DSM.

The power increase was unbelieveable though, you can definiately feel a difference. Especially at highway speeds. I am going to see my brother this weekend, and I will get soundclips.

Mods are in the sig.

Wow mine isnt ven that loud. I consider mine to be pretty quiet at WOT, but at idle and low speeds it is VERY low and rumbly. I have pretty big cams in as well so it just makes it sound even cooler. I have the extreme turbo turbo back. Which is basically just a 3" mandrel back into the magnaflow race muffler with 3" outlet. I think it sounds great and Ive been satisfied with it sicne i bought it about a year ago...

i bought the full 3" turbo back with o2 eliminator 3" housing and test pipe for 900$ from www.extremeturbo.com

If I had the choice I would just buy the muffler of my choice and make a custom one with a trusted muffler shop. 900 is a good price for what you get as it comes with the baddest o2 housing. But just make sure you know what turbo and stuff you want to go with in the future...
