i did the dearch using the keyword "rebuild" i went through ten pages of threads and couldnt find exactly what i was looking for so im really looking for some advise from you guys.
i am swapping a turbo 4g63 out of my 91 AWD talon(bought it wrecked) into my 90 FWD talon.
while that is rather irrelevant to anything i was wondering about what i should setup.
im completely rebuilding the engine before i put it in my 90. (0.020 over)
NOW this is what i am looking for.
-touring the countryside at high rates of speed :)
- enough bottom end to support at least a big 16g.
-dependable daily driver.
i am NOT a 1/4 mile racer.
all i seen in the searches was very strong rebuilds for nitrous etc etc.
im not cheap but im not going to buy racing parts for a 350 hp setup....

Basically im looking for a setup for my engine that will support a moderate amount of mods and be RELIABLE. (around 300-350hp)
as far a pistons go i would rather go aftermarket or OEM that would fit my rods than try and make 95+ pistons fit.

should i just go with OEM PARTS? Will they work well with 350HP???

BUT ALL OF YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS/COMMENTS ARE VERY VERY WELCOME.

You can meet those goals EASILY with factory big rods and 2G pistons. If you're so hard up about fitting the 2G slugs, even 1G 7.8s would get you there with absolutely zero problem.

Don't get forged pistons just for the sake of getting forged pistons. OEM cast ones are more than enough for your goals.

A stock block can support 350hp very reasonably and without any problems. My suggestion though since you plan on doing a rebuild would be 95+ pistons with 1g big rods. But if you dont want to fit the big rods onto 95+ pistons a rebuilt stock block will work fine.

For only looking at 300-350hp I wouldnt even bother taking apart the bottom end. The factory 6 bolt from 91 with the Big Rods should look at 300-350hp and laugh at it.

If you want to do some work then I suggest 91 Big Rods, 95 Oversized pistons from www.partznet.com and thats that :)
