does anyone know were i can purchase a 1gen to 2gen bov adapter for the stock uip?? thanks

if the 1G bov is already on the pipe, then you wouldn't need the adaptor, you would just have to make it all connect from intercooler to throttlebody with some cupplers and piping...

right, but his question was if he needed to have the adaptor if the bov already was connected to a pipe... if he bought a new uicp, then he wouldn't be buying the bov with the pipe, just the bov and adaptor...

Sorry guys, i give up ive looked all morning for this guys link. Do any of you all have this guy's link that made his own 1g bov adapter for his 2g talon step by step instructions and photos, i remember seeing this long ago. cant find it. please let me know if you have something.. Tony

You're better off buying a damn UICP, and plus you can get one from Dave Brode that's flanged for a 1g BOV for like 40 dollars.

I made one from PVC materials thinking it would be temporary but is on it's way to permanency. But unless you have a shop and access to the right materials and enjoy tinkering you are probably better off with one of the low-cost units out there.

I bought a used 1G BOV and an adapter (for a 1G BOV install onto a 2G). I tried installing it on my 95 tsi and it fits no where near how it should. I took out the stock BOV and put the adapter piece into the hole (stock UICP) and it's way way too loose. Also, the 1G BOV barely fits onto the top of the adapter, i can see a small space between the BOV and the adapter. Can anyone help me? I spent $60 combined for the 1G BOV and adapter, isn't that all I need for a 1G BOV to fit my 2G???

Where did you buy the adapter? Thats all thats needed (along with proper gaskets) to install the 1G BOV, it sounds like you have the wrong adapter.

you shouldve just bought a upper IC pipe flanged for a 1g BOV, the stock IC pipes suck. plus with an adapter you never know if it will leak, etc. get a UICP theyre pretty cheap

True.
But honestly sound's like he may have gotten a greddy bov flange or soemthing else.
It will be loose but in there theres a rubber round fitting and that goes back around the flange you purchased. Then clamp the adapter flange tightly.

Post pics of your flange and adapter if you can.

I'm getting a UICP soon enough, I'm gonna try to get my 1G BOV in sometime tomorrow if i have time, i'll let u know how it goes, thanks for the help.... will the stock recirc. tube fit on the 1G BOV?

What have you guys used to make your own adapter plate for the 1g bov on the 2g UICP. Im going to buy the david brode UICP flanged for bov but i was just wanting somthing temporary. ive got a welder, just wondering what some of you have used or seen. Ive looked all around for that guy that made a post about making one but couldnt seem to locate it. Any feedback is appreciated--Tony :dsm:

www.dejontool.com look under 2g side mount IC and pipes, then scroll down to the very bottom, $28.00 is not much at all. Escpically concidering its already built and finished. Just clamp the piece on and bolt up the BOV. Even includes Gasket and bolts for the 1G BOV

$28 is kinda steep providing you can get them shipped on ebay for $12.
:(
