Hey Guys,

I just got finished installing my turbo yesterdayand today I was trying to adjust the boost controller. After a couple of trys I noticed that it was still creeping. I checked the boost controller and it seems to be working fine. The only things I can think of that could be wrong are the stock o2 housing or the wastegate actuator. The turbo was ported at agp so I don't think that that is aproblem. I currenty have the boostcontroller screw backed out and it still boosts past 14 beforei shut down. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem on this turbo or if anyone has an idea

Thanks

Yeah stock O2 housing is probably killin you. I don't want to install my UICP and 1G BOV because I know I won't be able to control the boost.

so you will ruin your turbo due to overspeeding the turbo due to all of your boost leaking out past the bov instead of just porting the 02 housing or just dealing with a little creep??

doesn't make sense to me.

I still have the stock 450cc injectors in. With the 1G BOV my car will boost creep like crazy and then I have to worry about running lean. The 2G BOV leaks so badly that I don't go over 12 PSI so I don't have to worry about being lean.

I've got a UIP and a 1g bov and my boost doesn't creep hardly at all, I took out the boost control restrictor deal too... don't worry so much man, get yourself a 30 dollar boost gauge off the trader and test it out, if it creeps too much, make a boost controller for 8 bucks and put it in to controll it...

alright last question. What do I need to do a port job? Cashflow is a little tight right now and I only have access to an electric dremel. Can I just pick up some carbide bits at hardware store and use them or should I just wait and buy the proper kit

Thanks for all the help guys

what are you creeping to? I don't run lean until I hit like 19+ on the 450's.

You are destroying your turbo by letting it leak like that.

Don't know who you've been listening to but the stock pump and 450's are fine for 16psi on that turbo. And no damage can come to your car from leaning out because the ECU will hit fuel cut before you can hurt it. Put your UIP + 1g BOV on and turn the boost to 16.
Does your boost controller have a bleeder hole?

look around with google yahoo dogpile one of those and find it. they are easy to make. mine cost around $15 to make with a wingnut for easy adjustments.

why pay $8 when you can get it for free:shhh: at Sears Hardware... (or any hardware store for that matter... :thumb:
