I AM THINKING ABOUT BUYING THE PMS FOR MY 92 TALON TSI. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS IT. I WANT TO GET IT AND THE MASS AIR FLOW ADAPTER, WHICH I HOPE MEANS GETTING RID OF THE DAMN THING ALLTOGETHER. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU GUYS HAVE ONE AND YOUR THOUGHTS ON IT.

I have it and love it. If you have a laptop get the software it does wonders. It's scary what that thing can do. I love it so much that I may not get a standalone.. because the only diffence you don't have the ECU any more. It's a great tune. I had the S-AFC and it don't compare to the pms.Even if you had a itc.

You may want to ask "NosLaser" about the PMS. If I remember correctly he is a big fan of that system and has had great luck with it.

Unless something has changed in the last couple of years, PMS simply does not work well in 1G's! It is funny how many computer geeks would buy it thinking that THEY be the person to make it work on 1G. Well, most of them ended up on the parts trader offering for an even swap for a VPC...

"SOME" people had good luck using PMS on 2Gs, but even that was not the norm. Back then, you really did not have any other option on 2Gs, so people just stuck with them. Now, you have DSM Link, for 2Gs, which makes this choice a no-brainer.

stupid question, but what does a pms unit look like? A buddy bought a 93, and it has a purple box wired into to hardness, with a little handheld remote. Is it one?

Hello. I find this as a very interesting piggyback unit. I'm not sure if I would use it for my setup or not, but if anyone has any success stories, please tell! Anyways, here's a site that I found for an install of the PMS on a Rx7 through google.

back in the day,the pms and the vpc was all we had switzer,bushur,glazer,and shep was running this system back in early 97' when the 4cyl dsm's broke the 10 sec barrier.the reason why I said 4cyl is that a red 3000gt for some guy in the air force was the 1st dsm in the 10's
