OK i need the opinions of you guys for some help. there is this kid who is a real jerk around our neighbor hood who has a 2000 hondah civic Si with the Vortech Supercharger and alot of the suporting mods. I hear that those SC kits put the civic at about 275hp or so, well i have a 1991 TSi AWD with a new fresh motor with stock rods, 95+ pistons, no balance shafts, underdrive pully,3 inch turbo back, 14b ported, open dump o2, boost at 17psi,AFC 2100 clutch and 95+ manifold ported. I know this is stupid to ask but im a very good driver and want to know if there is a possibility that i will lose, i also think he has some juice too, please help me eliminate this jerk who thinks hes the ####.

i am not sure about how fast the Si would be, but i think you could take him. i have seen people run 12's with your setup. go for it!

You might want to consider another turbo if he's spraying. If not you can most likely take him in the quarter but he might start walking up on you around 85mph. Just race him and see what happens. If you lose just swap your turbo and ask him if wants to beat you again for money this time.

Si's stock run about 15.5 with a vortech and just basic mods should put him high 13's low 14's(230whp). Check to see if he has hondata and what size injectors. If he does he could be pushin 300whp with an internally stock engine. Even with 300whp he would be at best low 13's with street tires.

here's the best advice i can give you, take your turbo off, remove three tires and turn your transmission around. put it in nuetral and slam on the gas when it hits 9 grand dump the clutch and shift into reverse then slam on the brakes. basically what i'm sayin is, its a civic, read my signature. you can stomp it dude. if he has juice hit his ass his car WILL flip. LOL.

He's done anyway... A civic ( no matter the motor ) has the same problem as the supra, viper, GS-Ts,and anything else FWD ( or IRS ), it can't hook up for #### !! Just tell him you'll run him best of ten, back to back, that civic motor will give in after that many passes ( if its interally stock ).

If you really don't wanna suffer the pain of a lose, just race him 1/8 mile. Or get your own nitrous kit.. Over 300WHP on ANY civic with stock interals is a time bomb.. But I think will need to know a little more about the car to give you a "YES OR NO" answer... I saw a CRX that looked kinda beat and stock, but it ran 11.80 all-motor ( on slicks )..

Unless he is a really good driver, you should beat him. Like the last guy said , he will really have a hard time hooking up on the street. AWD is the BOMB! I have beat a couple cars I thought would spank me, but while they were squealing and peeling, I was hookin' and bookin'! You shouldn't have any probs. Unless he is spraying or he wants to roll race:rolleyes:

ehh i dunno bout this it happened to me some kid had the same thign a honda with the charger in it thing was crazy well i was hearing that he was talk #### sayin he can beat anyone and so far everyone he raced he beat.. well i raced him with my FWD talon and was on his ass now an awd will take him anyday depending on mods..my freind also raced him he has a carrado and he spanked the kid like no tommorrow so as far as i kno it u will take him just dont talk smack like him just tell him put his money where his mouth is

here is what i know when i used to roll a honda

it was a 94 honda del sol si with GSR motor "b18C1" I/H/E, skunk2 cams, skunk2 cam gears+5 -2,aem pulley's, jackson S/C 6psi, act 2100 clutch, skunk 2 ecu, timing advanced to 22, and that little bad boy dyno'd at 242hp to the GROUND...best it ran was 12.5 @ 117mph "street tires"

i think before u run him upgrade the turbo and fuel system, then run 18psi u should SPANK...be careful u will take him no doubt off the line but he might start to catch up when u hit 3rd, if u upgrade to a 16G or bigger he wont have a chance, put some 550cc and fuel pump and u r ready to go

y is everyone asking if the civic is spraying he said it has a super charger

thats coo i think iv seen u on ###LAB or racelab.org

im black with a front kit "my FMIC is painted black", im very well known, i usually cruise 74th st to pierce college then go back home on 96th and take south tacoma way then 84th home

its nice to know there r a few other dsm's in my area, i only know of 2 others around here that are sorta quick...

black Terror Eclipse <<<mine tony
white Terror Eclipse <<<rod
red Terror Eclipse <<<<mike

all of us are AWD rod and mike r working on their turbo upgrades, if u need some spare parts hit us up we have lots of extra stuff or if u need help on something hit me up, we install and tune pretty good but not the best, my car is running at best 12.1, but i know it can b faster

those b16's in the Si's pull hard in 3rd gear, i would kno, my bro put a b16 in his crx, and now its got a tdo4 turbo in it...

Bull****. There is no way in hell that your car trapped 117 mph in the quarter making 242 hp. According to carpoint.com, the base model del sol in 1994 weighed 2302 lbs. In order to trap 117 at that weight, you would need over 300 hp. Or, you would have to take so much #### off the car (to drop the weight to around 1500lbs) that you probably wouldn't be able to drive it. So, unless that horsepower number is a typo, i'm raising the flag.

oh god if only i had a scanner i have the slip to prove it, id b happy to put it in ur face to shut u up, just cuz its on the web doesnt mean its right

but then again if u saw it i bet u would say its from a different car

I don't have to see the slip. It's simple physics. In order to run 117 mph traps in the quarter mile, your car would have to weigh around 1600 lbs. or be making over 300 horsepower. If you want to lie about how fast your car is, at least up the horsepower number so its more believable.

how much HP would it take to run 126MPH in a 3500LBS. car ? Just wondering, my friends T-type did it on 93 oct. and drag radals..11.20

It's somewhere around 500 hp. What does he have done to it? 126 on pump gas is an impressive number. :thumb:
