ive read that a divided turbine on a T3/T4 helps spool-up and can even allow you to choose one A/R size larger and get the same spool as before . yet i dont see any dsm using them, why?

does anyone make a exhaust manifold for a divided turbine for dsm's?

whos using one? how much help is it?

P.S.- i did a search...nothing...

yes, the ideal turbine housing would be a dividied tangential housing. the reason why you don't see a lot of street cars running a divided housing is that you need a manifold with the correct runners going to the correct holes. so now you need to have a custom manifold made. a lot of prodraggers do in fact use these, but there is a lot of custom fabrication that goes into it.

i don't know about being able to go one a/r larger with the same spool up, but it will help. the tangential housing as opposed to an on center housing will raise turbine efficientcy a few percent.

running a tubular manifold on the street isn't the best idea anyways. the manifold is the custom work needed to be done. getting a "quality" one made won't be cheap. i put quality in " because there aer some companies out there that will make one to your specs for a fairly reasonable price, but on something like this, you really get what you pay for. for a street car, this is something i'd stay away from. too much trouble for the gains.

have you read about the people who have had theirs crack? i talked to 7 different people that have or are running them. 3 haven't had any problems, the other 4 have had them crack once or multiple times.

i know they have a warratee, and you live right there, so that saves shipping the manny, turbo and downpipe which they wanted one person to do with a crack, but its still only for 3 years

OMG ...

if i were to do this, what company would be a good one to get from? posibly in my area...

also, thanks for the great help:thumb:
