Easy way of getting the valve cover off

Uhhh???? if you are talking about after all the the bolts are out, I would just get a prybar and put it on pry up on the valve cover on the right side by the cam gears. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, then get a flathead and a hammer and try to pry it up on the ends and then lift up. Really no easy way to do it.

yeah i got it...today was the first day I ever took the valve cover off, but its all good now

i actually took off my oil cap and pulled up from there, came up pretty easily once it broke the seal

yah, thats where i grab at too, but you gotta break the seal..thats the hard part if you ask me

well since you need to change the gasket anyway I guess why not use a razorblade or a small knife at the same time as prying it up? That way you brake the seal prety easy..

u gotta be careful when prying or cutting on the mating surfaces. If you gouge, nick or otherwise deform the head (or the valve cover for that matter) you WILL have a leak. Pull it up from the oil filler, or gently tap it at the corners with a soft hammer. Just to break the seal, then pick it up.

Remember the GENTLY part, these things seem to break really easy, and are hard to find/expensive.

When I did it, my friend, who is a mitsu mechanic (worked at a dealership for YEARS and has built and torn down 4g63's for YEARS) told me to GENTLY take a flatblade screwdriver and GENTLY (that was key) break the seal on the front (towards radiator) and lift it from the oil filler.
