i have been reading some threds about people having problems with their type s leaking, or causeing compressor surge. i have a couple of pics to show how i have my lines routed and if there is a better way...

What hapens to me is i hear a leaking sound at like 10 psi, but at the 15 max, throttle to the floor the needle will jitter between 15 and 12 like the bov is opening and closing, and it takes a while to get above 3500 rpms, even on full throttle.

enjoy the pics
the first is just a blank so that you gues can fuss with the lines your selvs

now this is an idea of mine, i dont know if it will be an imporvement... a direct vacume line to the bov, and a bleader set up for the boost controler, plus a pressure port to the underside of the types, at lest with this one there is never a vacume acting on the boost controler

what do you all think?

I have mine hookup strait to the intake main(top nipple)..My mbc is hooked up to teh wastegate and turbo...I have no problems..If it's leaking.Check the diapham inside.A new one will cost $80.You can put a thin coat of RTV on it and it'll work.

If your getting comp surge.you have it set to hard.

so you can just run the boost controler between the turbo and waste gate, and leave the lower nipple open? thanks for imput

i've heard some people having leak problems when leaving the lower nipple open on the bov. has something to do w/ vaccum/pressure or something on both sides of the diaphram.

i think the type s needs pressure on one side and vaccum on the other to work properly, when i did add the pressure line to it it improved things, and then i could use the screw to adjust it, its such a paint... you would think they would have setings... (like if your boost is 15 psi turn to this notch) anyway i think ill set it up like tech t was saying.... any other ideas would help, thatnks

try removing and capping the line from the turbo to the bov.
I forgot the term but it changes the bov's function. it works better
without that line. I can't remember the reason, but I do have that BOV
and that works for me.
