I finally narrowed down my turbo choices to these final two: the AGP L2 and the SBR G50. Both are nearly identical, but have a few small differences that I would like you to comment on. Here are the specs:
Garrett T04E 50 trim
360 thrust bearing
Garret T3 Turbine wheel
7cm2 Mitsu housing
3" inlet
The differences I saw were in the turbine wheel and the internal wastegates. The AGP L2 has a stage 3 T3 turbine whereas the SBR G50 only has the regular T3 turbine which I am assuming is stage 1. Also, the L2 only has a 34mm wastegate whereas the G50 has a 38mm. If you have any input please let me know. I know both companies are extremely well known and reliable and I have already done the searches and read almost everything about both. I would just like some personalized advice. Also if anyone has these please post your reviews on it if they haven't already been posted. Thanks in advance and I will definitely post which one I choose and the outcome of that decision.
BTW, following turbo question rules here will be the setup:
All the stage 1 mods (FIPK, BOV, piping, full exhaust excpet O2 housing)
ACT 2600 Street clutch
Walbro 255, ChargedAir 2G AFPR, 650 ball/disc injectors, S-AFC
RRE Griffin, VPE, IRC FMIC Kit (not yet purchased, another decision:confused: )
Logger, EGT, Jumptronix A/F
That is pretty much it, but eventually a complete engine build up will occur, but hey you aren't going fast unless you are blowing it up or breaking it. Lastly, even though this post is long enough, does anyone else know of any times these turbos have turned yet? Thanks again and sorry about the length.

Not sure if you noticed, but the AGP l2s are currently on sale.

34mm wastegate is more than enough.

Honestly, you cant really go wrong with either. I dont have any expierience with Sloyboy, but I have heard nothing but good about them. AGP... Solid as can be. My advice would be to call both venders and see which wants the sale more. See who gives you better customer service on the phone about info. Once again, this will most likely be difficult as well.

AGP right now is on sale for $950 compared to $999 for the SBR. AGP includes porting, SBR is $75 extra. AGP one seems like a better deal right now.

I have had the G50 on the first page of the web site for $899.00 now for about two months...... Add $100 for internal gate, and $50.00 for porting... Sale will be over soon however...

G50 has any turbine wheel you wish from stage I to III......

We open the WG pasage up to 1.25" on the G series, and use a 38 mm flapper if you are looking at internal gate.

Both turbos will suit your needs very well I am sure.

Alright, this is the same decision I am at. The L2 doesn't come with an internal gate though, that is $150 extra. So the L2 is $1100 (with porting, internal and lines) and the G50 is $1080 with the same. Both a hell of a deal compared to a Green! I think I may go with the G50 and do my own porting, so it will be $70 cheaper than the L2. Like everyone said though, it is a hard choice and I haven't heard bad about either company.

I agree with the flip a coin method..... at the rate you are going, by the time you make up your waffling mind, there will be no more turbo sales.

So which turbo did you eventually picked? I'm looking at the former L2(now RS49) turbo as a very likely purchase. And am wondering if you went with that turbo.
