I'm new here. I just bought a 1990 gsx. Only problem is the turbo doesn't build boost. I have no clue how to fix this problem. I'm not sure if the turbo is bad or if a hose has blown off or what not. I'm guessing the turbo is bad because I bought it from a dealership and I figure their mechanics would have fixed that problem and sold it for more. If the turbo is bad, are there any tips on what a good replacement would be? I don't want to be in the 10's; I just need a replacement. It wouldn't hurt if it was better than stock!

check all your vacuum lines( the one that connect to the turbo and bcs)and check the turbo for end-play and see if it spins freely, you could even have a bad wastegate valve.:dsm:

if all elses fails, just unplug the damn thing.
