lenexa,
Ok, I'm building a turbo back exhaust- here's what I was thinking since I'm on a tight budget for mods on the car

2.5" mandrelbent to the flex section from RRE
3" pressbent beyond that with no cat.
Dynomax race magnum bullet

Any suggestions? I have a shop that will put it together/bend for cheap, and they do good work.

My goals- low 13's - 12's. Not looking for super modded z06 beating fast, but fast enough to put at least LT1's and other small block v8's in their places. :D

PS- how nasty would this sound? Anyone done anything similar?

why not go 3" the whole way? if someone will do your bending/cutting, then why not? buy the mandrel downpipe bend in the 3" variety & get the rest 3" pressbent if they cannot do mandrel. i have an dynomax straight through muffler with no cat & it actually growls. it is really loud though, but i love it.

i pretty much have the same set up as above, but 2.5". if i could go back, i would have a 3" mandrel bent turbo back exhaust. if you go cheap, you will regret it later. woulda shoulda coulda:D

Just dump the exhaust under the car half way back. You do not have to go the rear of the car.

You can do a 3 inch mandrel for under $300. Dynomax bullet muffler, a couple of 3 inch mandrels and use the straight sections from the muffler shop that welds it together for you.

Acctually, Now i'm looking at doing a side pipe- 3 inch dp and 3 inch pressbent to right infront of my passenger side rear wheel... tee hee hee...

but for the muffler on that- would I just have them put it in inline? the one i'm looking at is 3 in and 3 out, so i shouldn't have a problem, right?
