ok ever since i swapped a 1g head onto my 2 g i have had this odd oil leak.. its not major or anything.. like a silver dollar sized spot on the driveway every morning.. i lost about 1/2 a qt over 3000 miles, so its nothing dire..

ok as it stands..

where the exhuast manifold connects to the block the manifold is always damp with oil.. not soaked, but you can see a film of oil..

the bottom of the oil pan is slick with oil..

my guesses are:

a: drain plug.. not likley
b: turbo oil return line.. hopefully
c: oil pump bearings.. i hope not
d: anything under the timing belt cover.. i hope not..

its not a HUGE problem, as its not spewing oil or anything and the leak isnt getting worse, but it is there and it bugs me..

ideas?

Did you put RTV on the lower middle ex manifold stud when you reinstalled it in the head?

This stud seats in an oil gally so needs to be sealed w/RTV.

Why I know.. cause I forgot myself. Now on the trail of my PS and filter housing leaks :(
