If you have front and rear solid mounts with Protane motor and tranny mounts

Do you still need a downpipe with a flex section?

Seems like the first section of a

SS downpipe to rust is the flex section. I spent a lot of money on a Buschur racing SS downpipe and I am kinda pissed it's rusted. Only on the flex section but it's still rusted. I think next time I will make my own 3 inch downpipe with no flex section.

Solid mounts better use lockwashers and locktight. My car is a loose bolt machine.
