BLITZ SPYDER

Well..it seems that the New Years curse has hit me again..last January my car was in the shop b/c of the accident and now January is here again and this time I bent a Rod in the cylinder #2. Remember I posted a thread a couple weeks ago about jumping timing...well, I didn't..the noise I was hearing was from the bearing slapping against the cylinder and I would be to embarrased to tell you all about all the crap I went out and bought thinkin that I jumped the timing and bent the vavle(s)...one word of advice..CHECK FIRST!! and make sure you clearly identify the problem..Anyways, i'm already knee deep..I had already sent out the 1G head from my spare 6 bolt motor..which I now realize I don't need....cost $380.00 to have it refreshed new valves etc..I also dropped about $300.00 at the dealer with new timing belt, tensioner, w/pump etc..and i'msure about $200.00 more in misc..items..ARP head studs, motor oil etc. So, now i'm out about a grand and I still got to do the bottom end. I priced, out the parts for the bottom end and i'm looking at close to $600.00-$800.00 and that's just in parts. Anyways..thanks for letting me VENT...I just had to..i've been pusing that car so hard lately. I still love my little Spyder..if it wasn't for me Fu*kin with it, she would have been fine!

No, not really sure what caused it, my car is stock internally and recently I went to a 60-1 set up, VPC, 550s & S-AFC, about 3 weeks before I heard the noise i've been tuning the car in an empty parking near my home. Boost pressure varied from about 12psi to 20psi, I kept pounded it trying to tune the car, one night within the first week of tuning, the turbo oil return blew off and before I realized it, I hit 20psi thru at least 4 gears 2 or 3 times on my way home. It's only when I got home I checked the dipstick and realized that the motor had no oilOMG refilled the oil, started the car up and didn't hear anything:laugh: Well than was then and this is now, but that's what happend.
