Best fuel setup w/ a Big t28

Hello all, I have a 98 gst and i am planning to install my big t28 very soon. I have all free and basic mods as well as 3" exhaust (no cat). What will I need to run ~17-19 psi? Thanks

190 lph pump, 550 injectors and a S-AFC. Without the fuel improvements keep the boost around 14psi or you'll hit fuel cut. With the above you should be able to run 20psi with good tuning.

I am going to run 550s, a 3kgt fuel pump and I have the SAFC.

I currently run 550's, walbro 255lph fp, and the S-AFC with my FP ported Big28.

Thanks for the info, so what is the best/economical fuel pump to run, the 3kgt, or a walboro 190? also what are the specs on the stock pump?

Are you guys sure about the 3kgt fuel pumps? I have a 94 VR4 (trying to sell it for a 2G DSM) and our fuel systems are pretty weak. If you are going to upgrade the pump I wouldn't even bother with the 3kgt pump. We have trouble running 14 pounds of boost on the stock fuel system. Granted, some of it is the injectors, but the pump is also a factor. Most 3kgt guys end up with the Walbro 255.

stocker for you guys is like 180-190 or so. rewired is about 240. plenty of fuel for us dsmers

rewiring the fuel pump does not up the flow rate of the fuel pump, it only makes sure the flow is constant.

I believe it does if the voltage that the pump gets after a rewire is higher. The RRE table on the link I posted shows different flow rates for different voltages.

Really?? I was always under the assumption that raising the volatage was only to make the flow rate stable.

Well, I'm certainly no expert, but that does seem to be what the RRE table shows. I would think, though, that if you're getting sufficient voltage as is, then a rewire wouldn't affect flow very much. I'm in the process now of trying to figure out how to hook a multimeter up to my pump to check my voltage before I go through the hassle of a rewire.
