question about the location of the engine code/number 92 AWD laser

im trying to order all the replacement parts for changing the timing belt and whatnot and the dealer says they need my engine code/number so they know which part numbers to order..... they told me it is usually on the top right front of the motor, so i took off the exhaust manifold heat shield and couldnt find ####...i searched on this site and others and didnt come up with anything...anyone know where this damn thing is?..its for a 92 AWD laser thanx

just take them the VIN number and they should be able to get you the right parts.

yeah i was gonna do that...but before i bought the car the engine had been replaced and im not really sure what year car the engine is from.

if they're an ass about it, take it to a jeep/plymouth dealership... believe it or not, that parts house had alot more going on in their heads than the mitsu place did.
